Charity
Beyond promoting sports, the UK Chinese Sports Federation (UKCSF) has been actively involved in charity and giving back to the community since its founding. As the organization approaches its 30th anniversary in 2025, it marks decades of unwavering commitment to local causes. The UKCSF has consistently supported various local groups, including Chinese schools and community centers, and provided disaster relief funds for major events like the Wenchuan earthquake.
During the pandemic, the federation showed its strong community spirit by raising funds to distribute a large quantity of free masks and other supplies to those in need. Volunteers personally packaged and delivered these items, demonstrating a deep commitment to social welfare. All proceeds from the UKCSF’s sports tournaments—including football, badminton, and golf—are dedicated to charitable work, providing much-needed support to the community.
It’s important to note that all committee members and staff are unpaid volunteers, which allows all funds raised to go directly to charity. The UKCSF is committed to continuing its mission of serving society, using both sports and charitable activities to unite the Chinese community and bring hope and warmth to others.
